Annotation

Auxiliary dataset. Annotations refer to any genomic regions file that it focus is not Epigenomic Data. E.g. CpG islands, tiling regions, repetitive elements, and chromosomes sizes.

Metadata

A set key-value data that does describes the data.

Experiment

An epigenomic data that is compounded by the metadata and the data, that is a set of regions. The experiments usually refers to one file.
